Getting the garden ready and had to haul 30 bags of steer manure blend home from moms where I did some work over the weekend. Bags are pretty heavy, so instead of thinking they are heavy, weighted one bag on my old produce scale. The bag weighted around 35 lbs., close enough for gov'ment work. I had filled up the tank and carried part of the load for 30 miles, then added the rest back in for the trip home the next day which added over 110 miles. Speed coming home with the full load was 65 to 70 mph, then about 57 mph the last 45 miles or so on mountain roads. Very surprised watching the reading on the dash. I can usually get better mileage than the reading shows when using a calculator. Power on hills was down given the conditions, just shift down a gear. I have to pull over half a dozen hills on the way home. Very happy the way the truck handles a load of firewood coming out of the woods. No wallowing, but the shocks leave some to be desired on smaller secondary roads with all the slight irregular road surface bumps. Rock and roll from side to side. I don't care for the high gearing of reverse, it's too high.

ok, apparently my half-ass attempt at humor may have been misinterpreted... OP posted his experience hauling "manure"... I made an off the cuff comment about "crap" to be funny... that's all. in no way was I intentionally putting down OP. Hope that clarifies.

Do you need to know, or care?
I got it first time around and thought it was funny.
