I was looking for the horn relay and found a piece of yellow wire about as big in diameter as a pencil and its somehow attached at the top of the clutch pedal. its about a foot long and has obviously been cut off and the other ends are gone. anybody know what this was for?

Almost all SRS wires are a very bright yellow. Do you have an air bag light on?

Yes I do have airbag light on and horn doesn't work. From the threads I have been reading I thought it was my clock spring but now I am wondering if it is or was the airbag wire coming from the steering column.
Does the airbag wire come out the back of the steering column? Where does it normally go to?

Yes, there is a fairly thick air bag wire, actually, it is a thick, yellow covering for the air bag wires.
