    Hi all,
I'm new to this forum, But I Have a 2006 Tacoma with the 2.7l, I just did an oil change right before my wife left to go out of town with the truck. After the oil change I checked the oil level and it was right on the full mark, well my wife drove the truck about 600 miles and she decided to check the oil and believe it or not it was about 3 inches above the full mark, and she said it had a strong smell of gas. A buddy of mine told me that his did that and it was the fuel pressure regulator had went bad and it was pulling gas through the vacuum tube. Has anyone else ever had this issue before.

Thanks in advance for any help.

3" is quite a bit. Pull the hose and see if it is wet with fuel, it should be bone dry.
