I'm toying w/the idea of picking up a 16, but I'd want it to exactly meet my desired spec's as far as options go. I sacrificed a couple on my current 1-gen to get some 'must-haves' and not going to settle this time.

Has anyone purchased one with the roof rails/crossbars? I've been unable to locate one in this area (Seattle-Tacoma), so if you could post a few pics that would be great, and tell me if they're fairly robust or kinda cheap and not worth the added cost ($399 MSRP).

    Thanks.

I have them, haven't used them, but they seem really sturdy for when I do.

Thule and Yakima still don't have bars? I just assumed my rack would transfer from the 2013 to a 3rd gen. Anyone know if the roof design changed?

I've used it for a canoe and some lumber. Worked great and i like the ability to swing out of the way when not in use to reduce noise. I have a yakima on another vehicle, and while it is stronger, it makes a good bit of noise on the highway.

TBH, I was toying with either buying the OEM roof rack or buying a Yakima... I ended up going with the Yakima because I did not like how the OEM looks from the side angle when the bars are in use. To me...it looks better when they are folded away. I went with the Yakima for aesthetic reasons and I am extremely happy. Of course to each their own so my opinion means very little but just wanted to throw it out there. lol. Good luck!! 20160304_172910.jpg 20160326_124359.jpg

Thanks, Hammer16. That's what I was looking for, a nice pic of them being used. Brindle I didn't know the cross-bars swung out of the way, good to know. Appreciate everyone commenting. Cheers!
