New here w/ first truck, first Toyota.

Hello all here on Tacoma World. Hope to meet a lot of you, learn from you all and help anyone I can.

Been lurking on the forums for the past few months helping me decide what I wanted in a truck and what the possibilities were. Tacoma won the battle out of a Ford Raptor, 1954 Ford F100 and a 1970 Datsun Sunny. I'm a huge car enthusiast which kills me because I want everything out there or at least customize it to death to make it mine. Coming from the German side of the world, everything else felt cheap, under powered and way behind in technology. But setting all of that aside I tried to look at everything with an unbiased perspective.

Reliability and resale value came first on my list but after driving it, it seriously lacked power coming from my world of vehicles which quickly my wife came over to smack me in the head to tell me "its not for racing." So to make this short as I like to ramble; out of all the pros and cons, I ordered a 2016 Quicksand Tacoma TRD Sport.

A friend was able to hook me up with the purchase and I'm headed to pick it up in San Francisco this weekend. I have already purchased a bunch of things for the truck which I said I wouldn't do.... Bumper, grille, speakers, wheels, accessories to name a few. Guess a build page might be in order.

I rarely keep a car over a year which I hope to change with this truck. We will see....

I just drove up to SF to pick up the Tacoma. Pretty impressive so far. Can't wait to get back home on Sunday an install the new bumper. Came a bit earlier than I expected and should be arriving today.
