Please Help Me Understand the Differential/Traction Control Differences in TRD Packages

    yeah I think 4x4 are required to put on chains sometimes... although they always wave us through in the Subaru so I am not 100% sure. I get that the drive tires need the chains but apparently some Tacoma 4x4 owners put chains on all 4 tires without reading the manual which states not to. The front tires have some notch in the rim, I think it is for the tire pressure sensor or something like that and it causes rubbing on the chain and they break after a few miles. I just thought it would be nice to have chains on all 4 tires for steering purposes on a rear wheel drive vehicle. FYI I'm also from So Cal so I hardly drive in snow unless it's hunting season.
