17x9" scs br6 -38 offset wheels. Bilstein coilover suspension. Viper cut and cmc in front. Add a leaf 2" lifted in rear.
Is anyone out there running 2" wheel spacers on 2nd Gen. With 285/70/17s? Just wondering if I had to trim fender flare and do a CMC.

Depends how much lift you have, but 2" spacers will really push the tires into things. CMC will need to be done. 2" may be still to much unless you have 4+ inches of lift.

Think about it, if you put large spacers on it will make the arc of the wheel when turning be a lot larger, where as LT that is 2" out, makes more room when turning, not hindering it.

    Hope this helped?

I plan to put 4" lift spindles that have .75" increase of width, and 1.25 spacers on my front. (Overall increase of 2")

I have a 3" lift on front and 2" back. Also wheel spacers are not hub centric I'm worried about vibration. Over all I'm just looking for a wider stance. Any suggestions for 3" lift.

Non hub centric spacers sketch me out :(

Sorry didn't realize you are 4x4, spindles not an option haha.

But id say, put the spacers on, try to get them and the wheels aligned as best as possible, drive around a little in your neighborhood (slowly with full lock), and see what happens!

I'd highly suspect you will need CMC, probably a little fender flare trimming as well, right at the inside ends.

This is my setup on 16s w 285s so similar to your wheel/tire height . I had spacers and I can say from my experience spacers suck and will cost you boocoo bucks down the line, as it did me. Bearings, the spacers cracked, replaced, fud up one of my studs, cracked again, oblonged the holes in my wheels requiring purchase of new wheels, it goes on... either stay stock, or if you must, get wheels backspaced but with less final results than what you are proposing though, and still expect problems with alignment bearings other stuff..my 2 cents

Well nothing conveniences me more than someone speaking from experience. Thanks for your input. No spacers for me! I ordered the 2" spacers on eBay about a month ago. Right before they shipped them out I canceled the order knowing then that 2" spacers would be way to wide. But they shipped them to me anyway. Merchant didn't want to pay for shipping them back so he refunded me full price and gave me the spacers as a gift. Hah I may just resale them on eBay.WP_20160422_002.jpg
