Just to give you an idea of how that would feel.......That water would be so cold that it would feel like it was boiling.I think that the second guy got in while the camera was on the first guy but if you notice, the first guy was already losing motor skill.

I'd like to try that ice fishing like that! But doesn't the lake have some currents? There has to some serious danger in going into that hole.

I don't know much about frozen lakes... I have seen some in Rhode Island an you can see the water moving slowly under the ice. It's freaky as hell to see the ice fracture as you walk across it. It scares me something fierce!

    Go :canada:

This is so fake... How would those guys go that far, have no oxygen to get because of "24 inch ice" and no be gasping for air when they come back up? Really now?

They took a chance being under the ice. Just missing the hole by a foot or 2 and they're in big trouble. You could see them trying to play it cool, but they probably didn't stop shaking for an hour after they got out. The video WAS pretty funny though. I'm still shaking just from watching it, which was the whole point!

No doubt,it was just a spoof.I think when the video showed the girls, guy #1 slipped into the hole....When they were focusing on him,guy #2 slipped in.

No question about it though, the seconds they spent in that water they suffered for.

If they are swimming from hole to hole, they are damn lucky to find another hole to come back up through let alone the original hole they jumped into. Get under that ice and it's almost impossible to find a way out again.

But I'm with chris4x4, not enough snuggies for me to be up there doing that. From the sound of it, he keeps his house at a toastie temp that I would like to live in.

Yeah, money is a little tight this year. I've got my house at 62. I usually set it at 70 or 72. This is going to take some getting used to.

Actually there is air trapped between the water and the bottom of the ice.

I am still cold from watching the vid.
