I've seen a lot of posts about tachometer installs but they always start once all the wires and panels are taken exposed and I was wondering if anybody knew how or where to find the initial steps. I'm just looking to read this wire's voltage

I've got an 07 PreRunner SR5 V6 if that makes a difference. Thanks!

The camshaft position is detected by the VVT sensor LH and RH, and is input into TERMINALS VV1+ and VV2+ of the engine control module as a control signal. Also, the engine RPM is detected by the crankshaft position sensor and the signal is input into TERMINAL NE+ of the engine control module.

Where is the engine control module located? Is it one of the terminals near the driver side fuse box? Sorry for the rookie questions, this is my first truck

Perhaps you should invest in a Haynes manual
