I'm in the market for some new wheels/tires and i need some input before making the purchase.

Im lifted about 2.5" up front and 1.75" in the rear. I plan on getting the Method Standard or double standard 17x8.5 | 6x5.5 | 0/4.75" mounted on BFG KO2 285/70/17. Will i clear my coil overs, UCA, and calipers up front or do i need spacers? Based upon searching on the forums so far, i believe i do not needs spacers up front. This question has been asked a plenty of times but i figured someone on here has the same wheel/tire set up with the same amount of lift. Will the BFG KO2 285/70 tires require little to no trimming or alot of trimming? Im lifted about 2.5" up front and have a decent amount of clearance space leftover on FJ TRD rims with 265/75/16 tires currently. Also have SPC UCA set on C caster with about +2.8 (L & R side) of caster.

I have similar lift specs but with stock UCA's. I'm running Method Standards in 17x8.5 - same specs you're looking at but with a 265/70/17. My take:

    - You will not need spacers to clear UCA or coils. Spacers would likely increase rub with 285's
    - You will likely need to trim with a 285. how much varies truck to truck - some have none, some have to CMC. My guess is that at a minimum - no mudflap and minor fender trim

Your actual results may vary. I have plenty of clearance with the 265's and could probably fit a 285 with minimal trimming. Didn't want to take the mileage it or find out I needed a CMC.

Someone with 285's and Methods will likely show up and comment....!

Would it be better to buy the methods wheels in 17x9 instead of the 17x8.5?
