Based on what happened to me with 2 Tundras, I wouldn’t hold my breath on any quick fixes, I’ll explain that in a moment.
But if you wanna wait, it’s your funeral.
I joined the forum to learn more about my truck.
Not because there’s anything wrong with it, not yet anyway, but the wheels should be falling off any moment now, based on all the complaints I read.
Moreover, I feel like I’m in overtime with my good fortune based on what I read here lmaoo!.
But I joined the forum because PPL here do all kinds of chit to this brand new truck, taking them apart and adding chit, and even more chit after that, so I…I’m all about that!
I love taking chit apart, always have, and do, or at least as long as I don’t spend much of my allowance.
But now back to Toyota and their time table for fixing chit.
I bought a brand Tundra back in ’02 and liked it.
It was fire engine red, and it ran flawless like all Toyotas do my '16 Taco included.
But then shortly after, like a year after, I get a recall letter in the mail asking me to bring it in to replace the UCA ball joints because of a possible scratch to the joint during manufacturing.
    So I said…WTF??
As if I have time I wanna spend at a stealership?
I’d buy a Chevy If I was willing to do that!
Fook off and leave me the fook alone I said to self. So I never brought it in for anything.
Now forward to ’05, the new Tundras had the 4.0l engine that our ’03 4R had, and it had adjustable seat hight like the 4R (the ’02 Tundra didn’t) plus I could trade it for a much easier to maintain white color.
    It was a win win!
But then shortly after that, guess what…I get the same dam letter, for the exact same issue that I had on the ’02???
    Well chit! F me!!!
But this time I brought it in just to get them off my back.
I don’t know if they ever did fix that defect problem at the plant, i’m betting they didn’t, but IDK because I got rid of it in ’08 when gas prices hit the highest for a 29mpg 4dr sedan vs the 15 mpg Tundra and screw the oil companies I said.
So if you’re waiting on Toyota…Good luck with that.
    Cheers!

Happy '16 owner here. Just understand a few people will be very vocal about their trivial issues that are resolved at the dealers. Somehow they expect that Toyota will address their concerns on the nightly national news and give them a free truck to thank them for showing them their screw ups.

Yup! Love my manual! I do have some of the vibrations though, notably the one at 20mph when decelerating. It's not that bad, but I'm going to bring it up with the dealership next week when I take the truck in for the 5000 mile checkup. My only other problem is a hesitation under partial throttle at 2500rpm that I've been told is normal and caused by the engine injector cycle switching. Still, love the truck, and for my needs there really isn't a better option being sold.

The mods at coloradofans actually consolidate threads so you don't get 40 threads about the same topic. Here there's no such thing happening and you get the same threads popping up with the same people posting the same childish responses in each one. I'd say on average about 20% of the posts here actually answer or give thoughtful insight to the OP. The rest is just defensive trolling.
