Where the rear diff lock button should be, I just have a weird push switch and I can not figure out what it does. Anyone have an idea?

I have the same switch, always wondered what it might be. Maybe it's the switch to the secret Willy Wonka elevator.5c288a30dd4c928753ef9f61ca99882c.jpg

only real way to check is crawl underneath your truck and look for the actuator on the rear axle

As a Toyota dealership employee, that is the same style/size as the lights that are currently being used for enabling the "security" system in new Toyotas, maybe it could be that?

Looks like the security alarm setting button. Mine is placed inside the driver side fuse panel area.

I can click it but nothing happens. I have TRD stickers if that helps @4WD. All right toyboata. Guess I'm going to pull the panel off and see if there is anything connected and start following wires. Thanks for the input yall!!

I read that if I had the key fob or a key fob, that when I unlocked either door with the key, it would unlock both doors. But it only does that from the passenger side.

Mine has TRD stickers as well, but it's not a TRD (previous owner installed them). Only real way to check is crawling underneath and looking the rear axle housing and look for the actuator.... Also if I'm not mistaken they all come pre-wired under the dash. Missing pieces will be the computer and wiring underneath the truck.

I would need the Trd axle to have the locker right? Can't just bolt it on and go

Best best is ARB locker, less headaches IMO.

But if you do decide to go factory...expect to pay good money. Lowrange off-road has all the components for an OEM install, but it's pricey.

Also I have yet to need a locker. 4x4 should be more than enough, again IMO...good luck
