I replaced my stock bumper with a CBI Dakar Rally and got curious about the net weight gain. CBI lists the Dakar Rally with standard hoop at 90lbs. I did not think to weigh it before mounting.

I think the stock parts removed from the truck are basically the same for most after-market bumpers. I removed the plastic bumper (technically "bumper cover"); plastic bumper flares; aluminum crash bar and related hardware; steel end pieces from the front horizontal frame member; bolted-on tow loop, and cut-off parts of the inner fender liners.

For the weighing, I used the bathroom scale. Weighed myself, put everything in the bumper cover, weighed myself holding it, and did some advanced mathematics. Weight for everything pictured: 24lbs 7oz.

I know a lot of people keep their stock fog lights, so I weighed them separately. 12oz. I also didn't think to keep the fasteners. I'm guessing they're just a couple ounces, though.

So, long story short, around 25lbs.
