Mine seems to pick up scratches pretty easily. Had some jackass hit my passenger side with his door and it looks like they left the keys in their door when they did it. Scratched it up pretty good. I get all kinds of little scratches all over it though. Meguiars 2.0 seems to work reasonably well, it isn't magic but it does ok. She is quickly headed to I don't care about keeping it pristine territory, at least it is Silver.

As far as black goes, any black paint is hard to keep nice. Looks better than anything else when it is shiny and clean, but you have to work hard to keep it like that.

Alright, to help you guys out with why it scratches easily, swirls, no clear on metallic, etc... First of all the quality of paint matirials from factory gets better than the previous year. Paint on todays vehicles is very thin or minimal mils to achieve uv protection and save money on paint matirials. Think about it, manufactuers want to save money to keep the price down on automobiles. Second, all colors scratch, swirl, chip the same, its just obvious on darker colors. Unless it has a ceramic clearcoat (Mercedes) its gonna chip. And with millions of automobiles produced, they're not all consistently built. When I paint a black vehicle, It is scratched as soon as I wipe it with polish glaze and a cheese cloth. Also darker vehicles make people paint experts because they're able to see any slight imperfection! A reason why I can hate my job at times...
