I was parked where no one could park behind me and my driver side. Close enough to security cameras to deter theft. No matter where I park my taco or wife's Jetta they find a way...

I don't plan to do any crazy crawling with this truck, although I do go down some trails and off road a few times a month, but I want sliders more for the daily use of door-ding protection than the rare occasion I might try to go over gnarly obstacles and need rocker protection.

I've had to fix door dings before that were bad enough, and if you have metallic paint and want it blended correctly you're looking at an easy $800 bill. Then it just gets dinged the next week. Every. Single. Time.

I smile when I notice a new scratch on my sliders. I just imagine the small dent their door now has as a reminder.
