When I had the WT mats, some Simply Green and a soft scrub brush worked like a champ for that type of thing. Mine were black.

x2. Simple green for me, as well. And then I use 303 protectant spray or Duragloss Tire and Rubber Dressing (spray). Both products darken the mats just a bit and make them look like new. And they both last for quite awhile.

People with black mats, are you happy with them. I have the tan color and the drive side is tough to keep clean, up north. Though about a different brand or possibly going with black for this reason.

I'm in MN and I LOVE my black weathertechs. Going on 5 years and they look almost new when I clean them up.

The wife has black weather techs and I have the gray ones. No issue with them staining. Get a good cleaner and a non greasy dressing and you should be good to go.

I'm really liking aerospace 303 protectant on my mats. You can wipe it down to the point where it's not greasy at all. The Duragloss Tire and Rubber Dressing isn't intended for mats, but I've been using it on my WT's and I like it, as well.

Use an all-purpose-cleaner and a scrubbing brush. It will take those kind of stains off with no issue.

This stuff obliterates dirt and stains, I run a small detailing business and use this on tires, floor mats, and fender wells. Just make sure you dilute it. A dressing will only cover it up, it won't actually remove the stain.
