Is that a bunch of washers or one big bushing that you used to push the seat forwards? And did you use longer bolts?

In vehicle photo? Gotta say it's been a while since I've looked through the threads in the A/V section, but that's one of the better looking boxes I've seen in a while

Thought about rear fire, but definitely don't want side fire. I just don't like it for some reason. Also thought about doing like a 4th order or some other type of box where the sub is inside the enclosure but I'm not 100% sure. I'm still learning about those style boxes and things like that lol. if I ever actually do it, would be a long time from now, I'll put in plenty of research to be able to have optimal efficiency!

Also have tossed around the idea of putting one in the dash in the glove box area.

4th orders are easy and rewarding. Just do a 3:1 ported to sealed and play with the port freq and port area

How are they space wise? I know it would be bigger than sealed but what about a normal ported box?

the ported section alone is 3 x the sealed. so if you have a 10 thats sealed requirements is .75 then your box will be 2.25:75 so 3 cf. Most 10s like around 1.5 cf ported so 2 x the size of ported.

Now you can do a 2:1 but thats still 1.5:75 which is 2.25 cf

It would be really difficult to fit a 10" or even a 8" down fire. There just isn't enough room between the seats. Rear fire would be possible but you would need to do some custom fiberglass work to make it look and fit right. I went with side fire just because I could fit the 10" MMATS, and keep in mind it has a pretty deep mounting depth for its size.

Hard to do in a 1st gen. Probably not worth the extra effort - which would involve fiberglass or some mad wood shop fu.

And why not side fire? Really, are there valid reasons not to?

haha sorry! like I said I am still learning about those type things. Definitely don't think I could fit a 4th right there, or at least not how I want to.
