Dealer Offered to Let Me Swap Tacomas

I had my '16 TRD Offroad Tacoma (480 miles) in for service due to the notorious vibration/shutter when braking at 20MPH and under. They surfaced the drums and rotors and called to say that the truck was repaired and the vibration was gone. I picked it up and felt the same vibration at the first traffic light. I went back and was told that I could swap out for another Tacoma on the lot. I drove a Taco Limited, Taco Sport, and another Taco Offroad and ALL had the same vibration. Then they offered to put me in a 4Runner. I ended up taking my Taco home. I appreciated their effort to make me happy. I am very disappointed in the 3rd gen Tacoma at this point. Hoping that a TSB will soon come out. Blah..........................

 

I would have taken them up on the 4Runner offer in a damn hurry, if it was of no money loss to me!

 

What Dealership is that? I would have taken them up on that 4runner offer. They have 5spd autos and no vibration problems as of now.
I am going thru the same problems you are. I am going to make Toyota buy my Taco back!!!

Bring it on. I love my new Tacoma but not going to deal with this low drive train fluid that i have and all my other problems. If sunroof leaks
then crawl control right thru the front window at the dealership!!

 

I find your post interesting since Toyota sends this survey by dealership every visit to the service department and you have a chance to tell Toyota about the issue. And, if an issue on a new car needs to be fixed 3 times then the state "Lemon Law" takes affect...

 

Agreed, you shouldn't be dealing with crap you don't feel you should be. Take the loss and trade
it in, it's your hard earned cash and a small loss now, sure as hell beats hating a pricey vehicle you plan
to have for a long time.
