I've got an '04 Tacoma PreRunner (Double Cab) with the ridiculous short bed. Is there any other (LONG) bed from another Tacoma that would be compatible for a swap? Probably a stupid question, but I'm desperate.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Devil I hope you are drunk! But in case you are not. At a minimum you would need to extend your frame. More than likely not a feasible route.

Only way would be to extend the frame between the rear cab mounts and front bed mounts, and swap on an extended cab/regular cab bed.

Then, extend the brake lines, e-brake cable, fuel lines, wiring, and driveshaft.

A saw a picture of someone who'd done it on here just a few days ago.

This is on a 1st gen. He'd have to downgrade from a double cab.

Weld the rear of a 2nd gen DCLB frame to a 1st gen frame?
