I agree with this guy (comment from link). I'm not holding my breath and will likely go with a DIY or another vendor.

Anyone heard anymore updates on this? I'm mostly curious to see what gen taco's they'll be making it for. I have a feeling they'll leave out the first gen.

People keep posting on their Facebook page asking about them, and all that they say is that they're working on it. I don't know why they don't do s preorder or something to raise the funds they need- it seems like they'd be popular

My brother just got one of these for his dodge and its awesome! works great for what we do for work. I would buy one in aheart beat if they made it for the tacoma. the drawers slide really good and it was pretty simple to install. They definitely have potential. There video marketing is also genius.

Mobile Strong is another viable option. They have some standard options for full and mid size trucks but can also make one custom. I spec'd one out to be 42"W, 68"L, and 12"H (that's 8" of drawer depth) to fit in my new '17 Tacoma long bed. They can also make a top plate to cover up the gaps in all four corners. I have not bought this but have been impressed with their customer service. They also use HDPE as the material. The dilemma is whether or not to wait for Decked to release the Taco version. Overall I like their design the best.

    From @mmrocek at SEMA:

"So Decked it coming up with a drawer system. I asked him if that's just sales talk or a real thing and when, and he told me first quarter of next year and showed me the Tacoma demo bed. He also said to watch the Decked FB page on Monday for a news release. Yay!!!"

Stopped by Cabela's here in Glendale today and spoke with the Decked rep about the upcoming Tacoma units. He said they'll work with the existing composite bed liner that comes with the truck. Short and long bed models will be available (definitely Gen 3 but I didn't ask about the Gen 2). Left drawer will be a bit shorter in width (at about 11 or so inches) compared to the right drawer (about 18" wide). No ammo cans in the rear corners but there will be elongated cans in the front...I assume to allow access to the compartment holes built into the Tacoma bed. Parts are being manufactured now and they'll do some testing before releasing. Q1 is the plan but he didn't give me an exact date. Should be in the $1K range. Said they'll have a 1000 or so units (at least) per model ready at launch. Can't wait!!

I found this system on the internet while searching around for a drawer system and I fell in love with it. Then I found out they don't make it for the Tacoma. So I e-mailed them and got a response telling me it will be released mid-2017. Then I found this thread. I'm hoping for Q1 more than mid-year but I will take either. They look like an awesome option. I haven't found any other options I like except truck-vault and they are so expensive.

Did they happen to say when gen they're gonna be making it for? Probably just 2nd and 3rd.

I didn't think to ask that. DOH! I'm hoping they make it for 2nd gen, that's what I have. They seem to respond quickly to questions submitted on their contact page though.

I emailed their sales department to get an ETA on specs for the Tacoma model but have not gotten a response. Initial word was Q1 2017 but I wouldn't be surprised if it's later than that. In the meantime I've built a temporary platform out of 2x8's supporting 3/4" ply on top. I guess it's just time to be patient...

I have been a fan of Decked truck bed systems for about 4 yrs, when my buddy started being a traveling rep for them. They are very well designed and have a great finish. I have not been very interested in them however since it was not available for the trucks I was interested in. My buddy is no longer working for Decked so he doesnt have inside info for me, but I did send a email to Decked yesterday.

    Email I sent-

I have been a fan of the deck system for many years, but ignored it based on the fact you do not produce one for the Tacoma.
I dive a 2013 6' bed Tacoma and have plans for building my own bed platform over the winter for my truck.
On the Tacoma world. com forum there are people posting that reps at SEMA said decked will have a storage system for the Tacoma beginning of 2017'. Can I get conformation or the truth on this? I like the finished look of your system rather than a home made but am OK building one.

If you are releasing it for the Tacoma, I have a few questions on the specs.
-How tall will it be in relation to the wheel wells?
-What will be the internal length of a drawer for a 6' bed model? I have some items I would like stored in the drawers but they are almost the length of the bed.
    -What would pricing be?

    Response I just received-

Thank you for your email and interest in our product! We are in the works for mid-size trucks including the Tacoma. We are looking at mid-2017 as a likely available time-frame on roll out with that size of DECKED system.

As far as height, it will be 12" tall, the same as our existing systems. A drawer in the 6' bed will also likely be just below 6' with a reveal of lesser length, about 4'. This is something I do not yet have CAD data for and am unable to speak to of yet. Also, pricing is not structured yet but I imagine it will be near $1199.99, perhaps a little less.

Several of us have Tacomas here at HQ so we are anxiously awaiting the mid-size system as well!

'Like' us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter for new product release information, you'll be the first to know!

Let us know if you have further questions in the meantime.

    Best,
    Rachel

I need to have a cap to go over the bed platform, regardless of if i build it or buy, so I will be holding off for a bit to see what happens, as I search for the right used cap.
