    anyone know the part numbers for the metra plugs for both sides of the head unit speaker output?

    Im adding a hertz amp and want to make a plug and play harness at the head unit.

    I just ordered "
    $13 Metra 71-1761 87 - 94 Toyota Vehicle Harness
    Metra 71-1761" and "
    $8 Metra 70-1761 Radio Wiring Harness For Toyota 87-Up Power 4 Speaker
    Metra 70-1761" to add my Sundown SD-2 8's but haven't attempted the install yet. I got the part numbers from this thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2016-tacoma-double-cab-audio-install-build.402547/

    neither of those fit into the back of the headunit. if its non jbl that is. I tried ended up just splicing in and saying screw it.

    Yes those are the ones and they do fit. There is one wire on the small plug that controls the backlight. You have to add it to the plug which can be a pain in the butt, but not too bad. There's a thread on here on how to do it.

    Can someone give me some hints on how to remove the center consul? I think the access cab with automatic transmission would be the same procedure for as the double cab? I'd like to be able to remove it to be able to run wiring to an amp under the seat in my access cab and would like to have a clue as to what I'm doing before I start removing screws and such.
