A build thread about a Taco named Starke
It starts with an aggravation of living a few years of the "Low Life", in which my '13 Subaru BRZ took some great abuse. With a new job require lots of travel and hauling equipment, I decided it was time to upgrade. So the search began.

After riding in an '04 sr5 v6 4x4 my friend had I was hooked into the Tacoma world. Coming from a Fully loaded Subaru (and a BMW before-hand) I needed a few more amenities that the 1st gen didn't offer. So I started looking into 2nd gens. I focused on what I needed, and that eventually narrowed me down to the TRD Off-Road. Next I started looking at colors and decided I wanted to search for something neutral (Black, white, Grey, or Pyrite) then I balanced the price vs miles debate.

Well color went out the window and it was love at first site when I saw what is now My '12 Spruce Mica DCSB TRD OR. The color is phenomenal in person and i couldn't take my eyes off it (still cant). Add the Bush-wacker Flares, Lift (2" blocks), and wheels and it was a perfect started package until I save up for the later stages of my build.

First Mod was to remove the Bull-bar (hinders front clearance)

Next was interior with a Mirror lift from @ImMrYo , install the Radar detector, add LED dome, map and plate lights, and wire Fog light anytime

Then was an order to @CBoy808 for some Decals, as well as a few from Ebay. I also found a Tonneau for sale locally that i couldn't pass up.

Then a trip to test it out

    10/15/16 - Added 5d 31" lightbar

Next i hope to retrofit the headlight with the help of TRS, get some proper coils, then some nicer wheels and tires.

Long term I hope to pick up DTF bumpers and maybe even go long travel. . . stay tuned.

Spoke to a dealership with a single cab Spruce on the lot. It had a color matched grill and I offered to trade my Chrome. We agreed on $20 compensation and I couldn't be happier. I then purchased some mesh from ebay, cut out the TRD grill and installed it in a crude but effective way.
