Putting HID kit in ebay projector headlights?

    that odd "step" is supposed to be there. by cutoffs i mean, turn the lights on against the garage door or a wall so we can see the light output and the odd steps.

    for me it's not that bad, I chose to get some 8k hids. luckily my pass side wasn't so high up. I had to adjust the driver side though. My fogs are brighter than the headlights (3k) ... unfortunately.

    id that is a pretty nice cut off, though looks like there are slight hotspots. A viable option for a non DIY retrofit. Only other variable to assess is the durability and longevity of the headlights.

    Of course your foglights will be brighter. The higher the color temperature, the worse lighting you get. 4.5k is the sweet spot, 5-5.5k for optimal brightness while having the white color. 8k is for ricers and those like them that care more about looks than functionality.

    still have to angle the lenses up a bit imo. I like the 8k cause it's not as blinding as the 4 or 5. I was worried about that being a problem, so I opted with the 8k so that I wouldn't have to worry about blinding ppl in front of me.

    Blinding or not has everything to do with beam optics and cuff off, not light color. Going to a lower light output like 8k is not a solution, that means you have not setup your headlights correctly.

    Your wall pics look like they might have a clean cut off but there is to much noise in the picture to tell for sure.

    Today I was looking at my truck and it seems that the front is a bit higher than the rear, how do I aim them correctly? I was using this car that was parked in front of me at the time. I mainly kept the cut off lower than the front windshield so that if I was facing someone at a light, I would not blind them.
