IMG_0394.jpg I've gotten alot of help and insight off this forum while I've been working on/ putting together my taco. So I figure its past time I join and post a pic or two of it. Thanks to everyone who has posted on this place, been a HUGE help. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the rear of it, it's got blocks and toxic shocks right now and is WAY too stiff, beats the crap out of me.

Are you bottoming out in the rear and hitting the bump stops?

Once in a blue moon it will bottom out/ hit the stops. For the most part the rear is so stiff you can't really get it to hit the stops, I've got about 150-200 lbs of sandbags I keep in the back of it when driving daily just to make the ride bearable. The front is great, not sure if I need to get a set of 4wd springs for the rear or if I should try and take one leaf out the stock ones.

If you don't plan on lowering it anymore you might want to switch out the toxic shocks for some kyb monomax. Those wont be as stiff.

i've never checked if qa1 makes a shock with the proper length for the rear of the first gens but i know the ones people use on second gens will be too long. but yeah qa1's are definitely the way to go. I love having all the adjustability out front ;)

Yeah looking back I went with the Toxic shocks seeing as how I read those would be the stiffest, with my reasoning being I planned to do some auto-crossing with it so I figured the stiffer the better. Didn't however realize that cinder block could actually be a setting. lol

If you know how much longer they are than what you need, I can measure up for you... I have a 2013 5 lug with qa1 and I have less than 3/4" between my axle and bump stop and rarely even touch the bump stop....

Meh I'm waiting till I 4 link it to get matching qa1s for the rear. The coilovers option information that's used for it is out there somewhere.
