So, i've been thinking of repainting my cap ever since i bought my truck. It was originally blue, and in a few spot (especially when its wet) the blue is showing through the black paint. Not sure what the previous owner used, but it doesnt appear to be very high quality. Im considering putting 2 coats of black paint (to be determined-any suggestions are appreciated) directly on top of the fading black coat. Any suggestions or words of caution?? Should I just plasti-dip the entire GD thing?

I can take a better picture tomorrow of the trouble areas.

That flat black looks good with your MGM and black wheels. I would save some cash and stick with something cheap and flat black, and just do whatever you have to to cover up the blue. Simple and utilitarian is a good look sometimes.

Thanks for the input, thats pretty much what I was thinking of doing. The blue is only really coming through on the sloped front section where the cap meets the cab. I certainly want to keep It black no matter what. Now I've got to decide between rattle can or rollers.
