I really dont want to buy 1 new tire... currently the set has 31k and has plenty of life left. I was planning to upgrade to 265/75 or so next year or closer to 45k.

It looks like whatever I drove over cut the tread section. No air leakage or anything, I just noticed it when walking around my truck.

Don't see why it wouldn't be. If it holds air, why not.

Those look like the same tires I have, General Grabber AT2? Anyways, I had the same thing happen to one of my tires except it was a little bit closer to the sidewall from where yours is, and mine drives perfectly normal still. Hope that helps.

As long as the tire is still holding air it'll be fine.

Nice! I'm getting ready to pick up a set of the AT KO2's in the next month or so to get rid of the shitty Dunlop's. How do you like them?

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I wouldn't huck my ride until I've replaced it, but seems road worthy if it's not leaking.

If you don't replace it ya might consider rotating it to the rear (if it isn't already there). Losing a front tire at the wrong moment can really suck.

Disclaimer - I am not an expert in tire design or safety and may not actually be as smart as my mother told me I was. If your or another body is horribly maimed or reaches ambient temperature after following my possibly misguided advice neither I, my heirs, or assignees assume any liability for your lack of judgment. ;)
