Save those pics for later if you decide to sell private party, you can prove the accident damage showing on your Carfax was not too big of a deal.

Now that's a smart man right there as Carfax reports are very easily forged or inaccurate.

We know Prius's can crawl, but apparently they can't stop.

Yeah I had the same thing happen to my 2010 f150 and had the rear bumper replaced...Carfax showed it as a side impact!!???!?!?!?!? On top of that Carfax doesn't have customer service you can call and talk to. You submit an "inaccurate information claim" and they will "get back with you". But they never did.

I got rear ended in my 2005 Tacoma TRD Sport AC. I was stopped and a Jeep Grand Cherokee hit me doing about 25 MPH. Only damage to my truck was the bumper. His Jeep's front end was jacked up. My hitch receiver went through his radiator and his headlights and grill were toast. I was pretty surprised at the lack of damage to my truck. The worst part was that I had only had it for three months. I might have cried a little.

I got backed into in a parking lot. Cracked the bumper and dented just in front of it. Truck was only 14 days old. Instead of fixing the plastic chrome I added to the insurance money and put on a Fab Fours bumper. Looks much better and will never crack.

Good to hear the bumper held up. My 2004 got rear ended 3 times in 3 years. Each time the other vehicle was totally jacked up from my hitch receiver and my steel bumper literally did not get a scratch. Miraculously all three had insurance but I did not file a claim against any of them.

At the very least get a shop to check your frame, frame damage is deceitful sometimes and it would suck hard to learn later on that there was damage and you let her slide. If it was hard enough to crunch up her Prius it's worth getting your truck looked at

Agreed. Each time I was hit, although there was no obvious damage, I took my truck to the body shop to have it checked out.

Yeah... Insurance company is setting up an appointment for me to have it inspected. When I push on the plastic bumper it makes a crunching sound behind it. I'm suspecting the foam or something behind the plastic cover is damaged. Crossing my fingers there isn't frame damage.

From what you described and the pics you put up, I'm sure you're fine. Like you said, it's likely just bumper damage. It's just better to get it checked out and be safe than sorry.

LoL... She wasn't all that. Maybe even a single bagger. A double bagger for some. Here's a pic off her driver's license.

I've had a 2004 Tacoma DCSB trd that got hit on a head on collision with an old Buick. Driver of the Buick was drunk and fled the scene. My ex-wife and I survived with minor injuries. That 2004 Tacoma saved us. She was totaled but the cab stayed intact. Just bruises and sore necks.

Make sure to look at where the bed meets the cab just below the back window.
