There is no way you didn't notice a change...

I noticed a change going from 245s to 265s... I bet you would notice it while offroading... Youll need 4lo for anything more than a little hill

haven't noticed much change yet! i haven't been able to drive much i'm recovering from an operation. it does handle very well and actually rides smoother. 2.7 automatic it's never been a power house any way. only time i really go off road is to go hunting that's mud and logging roads

Yea you prolly never notice power loss on the road because the gear ratios widen. But offroad with tires deflated you will bog down a lot without a regear and 4 low will kill some power thru the transfer case but let you crawl up hills you can't in 4hi. Pretty much the only reason I didn't get 33s.

Not too much lighter with 255s compared to 285s c rated because they are e rated tires made for dually trucks. But they have less rolling resistance and higher axle clearance. They also require little to no fender trimming for fitment. I got 265/75/16 because I do mostly desert and sand so i needed more flotation than 255s. but I didn't want to trim and regear for 285s.

I think my next tire and wheel set will be a 275/70/17. I think it will be the best tire size for 4 cyl desert action without a regear and cutting stuff.
