Curse of Oak Island - History Channel treasure hunt

Yeah, I remember something about a "slave" or someone, uneducated, poor, suddenly gaining massive wealth and spending lots of money. I believe a structure of his is still on the island off to the left from the main road leading onto the island. I forget the story but it should be easily searched.

 

Not so fast...

They got a diver to the bottom of Borehole 10-X. Nobody had been able to get to the bottom of the so called money pit. For many years the location of the money pit was lost due to all the digging and explosives used on the island. Next year could be interesting if they decide to bring all their money and resources to bear on the money pit.

 

The last episode I saw had a 2 divers at the bottom of the bore hole, than 1 diver proceeded down the 27 inch hole , he made it past the drill bit that was in the middle of the hole and the episode ended, then the preview of the next episode looked like he made it to the bottom

 

10-X was always sketchy, basically Dave Blankenship was "dowsing" when he decided dig what is now called 10-X. The money pit is the legacy of Oak Island and I think it would be easy for someone many years ago to have found the "treasure" and sold their stake on to another group of people to try to find the legendary treasure.

Essentially its easier to build a pyramid in Egypt than get to bottom of this mystery.

 

The bottom of 10x should be the pathway builders took/slept/lived in to build the Money Pit.

Yeah, this place has been too destroyed since the 1960's to solve any leftover maps or hints. Sad. They'll get there someday. How is the question.

 

Sadly I think the Island has taken far more than it will ever give. I also don't think this should ever have been a show, maybe a documentary of the Lagina's quest from start to finish but what a let down that has been so far.

I'll watch it again when they actually find something of substance - which won't happen so I won't be watching...

 

Doesn't one more person have to die before the treasure can be found?

 

Maybe someone will get so pissed at all the bs talking and cliffhangers every intermission they'll sabotage the work site and the legend will reveal itself

I just clued in that Doug Crowell that has been on the show is the IT guy at my school...Gotta ask if I can get a personal tour of the island, and if they actually found anything.
