No need to apologize. Regardless of the hole still there, we got a lot of work done. And they can't be any louder than the tires on right now!

It's in consideration for RT. If so, I'm going to just buy some cheap TGs or something similar to save the headache of building them before the trip. We've got enough stuff to take care of as is!

that is like the easiest thing to build AND if you go to the junk yard with me for 30 minutes and pull hinges it would only be 100$ or so for tube doors

    Yes
You know, I've got some clear plastic at work that we could bend to fill that hole. I think having a nice window to the tire could be beneficial off road

So what your saying is that we should do that to black widow and see how he likes it. And then you can watch your tires get eaten by the leafs.:bananadead:

Nice Balls Air Conditioning Mode there Austin, you will not be sweating at all for RT. water crossing might be a bit damp though.

Nice work getting all of that done yesterday

Edit: EeeGads, I'm in 1st Gen land

As of last night (sorry for the crap cellphone images... it's all I've got):

Finished up the drivers side. Welded in the plate to cover the cutout, seam sealed the shit out of it (inside and out), then applied flex seal to finish everything off/make it look somewhat presentable. Trimmed 2" off the front driver fender and still need to take out an additional notch where the fender meets the door so the tire will clear w/o any rub. There is also a very small area where the tire rubs at full stuff that needs to be pounded in.20160424_181233.jpg 20160425_222408.jpg 20160426_175227.jpg

Otherwise that side is good to go!:)

One thing to note is the interior (of which I do not have photos). I had to trim quite a bit on the kick panel for it to fit back into place. It isn't as secure as before due to the fact that we cut out the metal clips which held it in place. After trimming the kick panel, I laid the carpet back over, installed the panel, then put the floor mat down. Looks as good as new.... to me at least.

Here's a photo of the driver spindle gusset. Extremely happy with how these turned out / the added strength they provide. Think I'm going to shoot them with a layer of clear coat to give it some shine. The flat black is a little dull.
    20160425_192042.jpg

Hoping to cut/weld the passenger side this weekend and get all 4 tires mounted. SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE!
