Does anyone have any homemade DIY tailgate lock suggestions? I've got an ARE camper shell with a lock, and I've considered adding a manual tailgate lock that operates from inside the bed. I'm not opposed to the electronic Pop and Lock, but I'd like to explore my options. I wanted the manual Pop and Lock lock at first, but I don't want to carry three keys on my keyring just for my truck. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Pop and lock makes a codeable tailgate manual key lock so you can use your factory car keys. No need for an additional key.

Check out our website because not only do we have a power and a codeable lock for the Tacoma, we also have our Load-N-Lock line that is a power mod kit for truck caps!
