I've been a lifetime GMC truck proponent, maintained my vehicles regularly and was rewarded with many happy years of service. My current 1996 GMC Sonoma Highrider just turned 265,000 miles, still mostly original except for radiator, water pump and brakes master cylinder. Always used Mobil 1 and the engine does not use any oil. So why am I switching to Toyota camp?. Well I recently retired and will still need a truck for several more years and the frame on my Sonoma is showing considerable rust. I was considering ordering new GMC Canyon but when equipped to my specs the price was just north of $40K. Factoring in that we maybe moving out of northeast into more hospitable climate I may not want keep the truck after next 2-4 years. Therefore the justification for investing this much money had to be reevaluated. As luck would have it, I came across very nice 2010 Tacoma 4x4 Double Cab and I couldn't pass it up. So, here I am. I'm sure I'll be frequent visitor to this forum looking for answers and drawing on experience from forum members.
