yeah it doesn't matter what you do if the bugs want you they will get you. Ignore them RT is worth it.

Edit: seems to be the worst time is during the day so just wake up early go wheeling and don't come back till late. WHEEL ALL DAY!!! then by night they are gone. Only time i got bit was when i was helping save the tank from the tank trap.

Insects won't stop me from going! I'm not concerned for myself, more so just don't want the ol lady to have a horrible time. She's tough, but a week of chiggers will ruin anyone's vacation.
I remember briefly talking about it a couple months back with you. So long as we don't get eaten at night I'm not worried.

I did for all the years I've been. Gonna have a hammock setup this time, definitely with a bug net. That being said, not sure I'll be camping at BFE for the entire event

For those that have been before, how is it for someone going solo? Might know a vender or something but won't know anyone else. Is it worth taking the time off work to go by myself?

Dude there's going to be well over a hundred people there, you should be able to make one friend and tag along with almost any group to wheel. Even the worst trail group i was in was still great and we all still got along. Even when i turned into supper drunk asshole Konner. :anonymous: Which i do from time to time just ask jason.

I went solo last year. Didn't know anyone. Met some really friendly people. Watched Phil "work" on this destroyed rig for a few days and enjoyed a lot of fun trails. I'll be there again this year. Stop by and say hello. You'll be glad you went...

Moving these to a new page

we do request the camping spots before the ravine and immediately after stay vacant for organizers and sponsors. see the map below, the black circle. red circle is typically where we put the toilets. green circle by the entrance where the dumpsters usually are.

if you setup early and are in these locations, you will be asked to move...

    also a couple other notes...

DO NOT PARK ON THE GRASS/PLANTS
DO NOT PARK IN THE TREE LINE

we will make rounds while we're out there to make sure everyone is in a good position. we need to respect this land as it is not ours and need to keep this area open for years to come.

we will try to get some organizers there as soon as we can during the week to assist you in finding a proper camping spots if you are unsure.

here's a video on how to get to Area BFE and take note at 0:56 to 1:00 this area will be utilized by organizers and sponsors...the area to the right at 1:00 will also be used...that is the black circle on the map above. the main camping will be straight ahead, all the way to the trees at 1:00 all the way to 1:15 is all valid camping...as you get closer to that back hill, do not drive on trees, shrubs, grass, anything living..
