I have a 2005 reg cab 5 lug. I was thinking about a fat bob lift. What do you all think about them? Also what size tires would fit? Also, i would love to see some pictures if anyone has any!

Before I begin, let me begin by saying I don't run a Fat Bobs lift.

I have heard decent things from the Fat Bobs lift. Plenty of former and current members here run it, with no complaints to my knowledge. However, I have heard that putting it on can sometimes be a pain, but that is true of any lift kit, ever.

I would not recommend serious off-roading with a Fat Bobs lift, as spacer lifts do not fare well off road at all. This sort of kit is more suited towards a pavement pounder.

As far as how big can you go, Fat Bobs lift let's you get past a 31 inch tire/rim combo, however running a combination that large is going to demand a re-gearing, especially if you have the emaciated 2.7L, and that gets expensive fast.

Am I trying to discourage you? Not at all, but weighing your options before lifting a truck is important.

A mid or long travel suspension system is all to my knowledge would improve that, and I am not the guy to ask about that.
