Thanks! Anything new with you? I am surprised this thread hasn't boomed since tax return season has been around.

 

Nothing new yet -- other than my catalytic converter going out last week, but thank God it was on a recall so Toyota covered it . Other than that, I'm on the verge of buying some new Billies and KC lights from my tax return, but I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet . Lemme know how the installation of your fog lights go. What kit did you get?

Yeah mine blew out a while ago, Toyota replaced it for me free

 

What's your plan for mounting them? You got a roll bar? You offroad at all in yours?

 

I don't have KC lights but I love my spot led pods behind my grill I use them quite often on darker roads

I had to sand my headlights all the way down because the previous owner of the headlights used clear coat that chipped :/

The light bar isn't very bright (Being $40) but the pods are brighter than my headlights lol

 

Why don't you get a restoration kit for them?

 

Cause I got a leftover kit from 3M that I think is still good for one more car....

 

There's a local groupon for $30 for a place to do it so.........for the cost of a kit might as well have it done right >____<

 

And to think I almost could have seemed like a nice guy AND got a piece of crap out of my garage! Damn it!

I always want to do a meet up, but then realize we all live in completely different parts of the country, and HackD lives in Canada....so we have no hope of ever meeting up lmao

 

Should've took HackD's route on buying some armor. Someone decided to rear end me when I was completely stopped. Just mild damage on my rear bumper -- a small part of my bumper is loose, but it looks like he got the worst of it.

 

I have a bull bar on the front that has pre drilled holes to mount those lights. I don't do any heavy off-roading. Just some trails to get to my fishing spot

 

Glad you're alright man. I can't even tell anything is wrong with your bumper, not even a scratch. These Tacoma's hold up so well.

 

Glad to hear the V-dub got the worse of it. Be sure to check your measurements between bed and cab on either side of your truck, just in case your frame has been tweaked - i doubt it has at that impact speed.. but if it's his fault, it's his insurance picking up the tab to make your Tacoma right, not you.

That skid-squeal of death from behind haunts me in my dreams .. i've been done x2 in the truck at low speed within 3 years of owning it, with mild bumper damage resulting, so no biggie.. but my "PTSD" really comes from being a motorcyclist, and hearing that sound from behind, and then being launched ass over tea-kettle into a live intersection.

One time I had a girl rear end at a stop sign because she was texting and thought I already turned when I was just slowly creeping forward lol. No damage to me though having a trailer hitch paid itself off that day. Needless to say she go the worst of it with a cracked white bumper on her mustang her daddy bought her >___<

Just got off with my insurance (thank god for USAA) and his. Since it's his fault, he'll be picking up the tab. When I was on the phone with them, they gave me a location for a body shop and they'll give me an estimate. Maybe I can get some armor on the rear. Nonetheless, Toyota makes one hell of a truck.

 

That's the worst, man. People need to get off the phone when they drive:/
