So I drove my truck an hour from my house to Chesney SC to pick up a golf cart and then made the hour trip back to the house towing the golf cart on my 12 ft trailer. I filled up before I left and when I got home I had less than half left??? The golf cart wasn't that heavy at all. I didn't even know it was back there honestly.... Anyone else experienced this much fuel usage when towing??

    Check The Build Thread
Everyday driving I get 240 miles from full to the gas light. Last weekend I towed an empty 6x10 enclosed v-nose trailer down to St. Augustine and got about 120 miles per tank. Came back with a camper shell on my truck and a very small load in the trailer and I got about 145 per tank.

Going back there was less headwind but I also think the shell helped keep the air up and over the trailer. Going down the truck was in 4th almost the whole time and coming back it would kick into 4th once in a while but definitely never went into OD.

There's a lot of extra weight on my truck and I still need to get it regeared.

Wow! I get 360 miles per tank on a normal week commuting to work and such. Ill stop complaining now... haha. I couldn't imagine only getting that per tank...That's worse than a V8.

I get about 250. Last weekend I drove an hour each way and was about half a tank. I'm very stingy with the skinny pedal and keep it around 2000 rpm.

But my truck has armor and has to carry my fat ass around. So I'm sure that accounts for the mpg drop.
