I just started today havng issue with my '02 taco. Had a hard rain the other day and i was driving through 5-6in of rain and the next day started to hear a real bad sqeak/squeal. i looked behind both front wheels and saw a lot of grease everywhere on both sides. Looking closer I saw that almost all my boots had rips or completely worn off from the clamp. I think all i need to do is replace the boots and re grease everything but its the tie rod boot as well as the CV/Drive shaft boot.

Any ideas on if im right or not or any suggestions? thanks

Pics of damage. sure each boot has rips or is it just grease on everything? guess you forced water into pre-existing cracks.

Replace the entire CB shaft - its cheaper and easier, and everything will be new.

No. I just call around for prices at a few local parts places so its an easy return if there's a problem. I'm in Canada. In the US there are lots of good online choices with free or cheap shipping. If you're not mechanically inclined take it to a reputable shop/
