I want to get led's for my dtrl/blinker bulbs and I dont want to tap resistors into stock wiring. Do they make an extension harness i could plug into the stock socket and just tap into the extension with the led resistor? The end of the harness would accept the led bulb and have to turn and lock into the holding socket...

Haven't used them, but that link doesn't say if they are compatible with the 3157 CK bulbs. The CK are wired a little different I believe.

The resistors have beefy looking heat sinks.
I've thought about this too. I have LED brake lights; it kind of bugs me that the blinkers are incandescent. o_O

Yep, these wont work. My harness has 4 slots to grab and turn when you secure the socket to the back of the headlight and these have 3... I might do the 12 pin shave the resistor mod and call it a day if i cant find the right harness. There has to be one out there

Why don't you want to use resistors?

Is full synthetic blinker fluid required with LED bulbs replacing 3157 CK's?

That's a big NO, but it is recommended. and once you go synthetic, you can never go back!

Note that companies such as VLEDS don't recommend regular replacement bulbs such as 3157ck as a DTRL bulb. They used to, but no longer. Too much heat running on high brightness full time in the closed space. If you really want, choose the VLEDS Triton system or similar. Twice the Price but you want it to last. Agree on not modifying stock wiring.

I was thinking of a bulb like this that is only 11watts... I was going to convert it from standard to srck type and use it as my dtrl/blinker. I didnt think 11 watts would be that hot even as a dtrl... Now im not sure, am i wrong?
