I recently bought a 2016 tacoma trd d. cab sport and noticed the same loud high pitched whistle noise that many people have heard. I noticed it the first time I drove it. I took it back to the dealer but they claim there is nothing wrong with it. This is not a noise you want to hear from a brand new vehicle

Sorry, don't know what the problem could be. Unless you're convinced it's mechanical(belt?), I'd just do the radio mod & it should fix it right up.

It's the exact same noise that is on the video that is posted sounds like it's coming from the driver side mirror area

You'll get a lot more hits and responses if you post this in this 3rd Generation room. this is the 2nd Gen room and lots of us don't know much of anything about your truck, since they changed a bunch of things from 2015 to 2016. :)

Did you test drive it before buying. It amazes me how many people I hear buying a new ride and do not do a good test drive. My plan is to test drive for two hours before I sign the papers. If a dealer wants me to buy it then that will be one of the requirements before purchase
