Crossbars are adjustable. Just move it forward or back to fit around the fin. The fin sits about 1/2" lower than the top of the crossbars.

The factory roof rack looks nice and has no wind noise. But it's not strong at all. I strapped my kayak to it and just tightening the straps started to seperate the rack from the truck where it was not in the immediate location of the bolts holding it to the truck. Hope this helps. I don't think I'll put the same one on my 2016. I had the same one on my 2015 got it off eBay for cheap and it's easy to install.

When I had my factory rack the wind noise with it open was annoying. With the crossbars stowed it was silent but as soon as you flip them open to carrying anything you will hear it.

@zscott Would there be any issue for a 2016? I have a sunroof. If it would work. I will wait when you have a group buy for the 2016 =D. I need a break from uncle sam trying to take all my money and my truck that absorb so much of funds last year.

Yeah the cross bars are movable so they can be adjusted around the sunroof.

You can see some action pics here and here.

Thanks. @ffdawson has also been a longtime Bajarack owner as well.

BTW, I finally got around to installing the roof rack from my 2005 on my 2016, and(just like you said) it fit great. Thanks for the help!

Do you have any pictures of running the RTT with surfboards? Haven't seen anybody doing that yet and curious to see people's set up. I'm trying to think of ways I could accommodate both once I purchase my RTT!

No, I have not seen them mounted on the same rack. However, if your budget is big enough, you can purchase a FrontRunner rack for you bed to mount the RTT and a rack for your roof to mount your surfboard and whatever else you have.

Yea not a bad idea...Just thinking about say a standard short board like 6'0 would probably be hitting the RTT on the camper behind it seeing that the cab racks would be pretty small in length (maybe 3-4 feet)

I want this setup but instead of a cap, I want a bed rack that puts the caprac at the same height but they all seem to sit lower than a cap would put it. Any suggestions on a bed rack?
