My 2016 Tacoma came with a roof rack, an item I will never use. (I had one on my 2004 4Runner, and it was never used.)

I'm wondering what sort of deal it is to remove the factory roof rack and what I might find underneath it...clean, pristine blue paint? A mess? Some sort of sticky tape? I have no idea how to remove it even for an inspection.

    Any advice? Thanks!Mr. Blue #1.jpg

It should be a bolt on. You should see paint underneath. People in the trade/sell thread will pay you good $$ for it.

Bilstein/Icon 2" suspension lift with wheelers 5 leaf springs, 7-pin relocate through bumper, bfg KO2s, redline hood struts, immryo mirror relocation, stubby antenna, dipped emblem, heated mirrors, Jason trek cap, led fogs, debadged
If I'm not mistaken, you'll need to get new weather strips once the rack is removed. Those aren't dirt cheap, but you'll certainly come out on top if you sell your rack.

It's a few bolts, will need to buy some trim to fill in the channel. Let me know if you want to sell it, if the price is right I'll take it.
