What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I would like to use something like this but don't know if these are the right ones.

My tent will have the annex but I'm gonna be at like 5'5" maybe with my bed rack the way it is but that's okay for now i didnt want the tent up high. Too much mountain driving.

 

That would be cool to lift it with the push of a button...
Looks like they might be effected by dust though

Finally got it washed

 

Not sure it will work but this guy in the overland thread had a cool idea.

He used a scissor jack to raise and lower his rtt.

It'll be too low. But not totally unusable.

That's at 28.5" closed haha gonna be too tall to begin with befor you raise them.

Also too complex and too expensive.

I thought of doing that that well. But ended up not liking how it would work in my head with the side lift. I couldn't think of a way to get it up high enough and down low enough. Wanted mine below the roof when down like all the way.

Think Jerry did something similar first on his trailer with actuators.

Finally put LEDs in the cluster and corners. Now I want more

 

was it hard to do the clusters? like do you have to take the whole dash off?

 

Not too bad. Gotta take the panel around the AC and radio off. Panel under the steering wheel, and the black panel around the cluster. But not the actual top of the dash itself or anything

 

Speed bleeders 7mm front (Tundra) and 10mm rear.

Bleeding is so much easier and my brakes are so hard, they are like one of those things that get hard when they get in that place that makes them super hard.

 

ooooooo i like the second one! Thats a nice design. I you could set it up to do the side lift still too possible.

Those actuators are huge though. Plus, i bet they aren't very...offroad proof...

But i like that scissor design.

 

I'm still searching for a more offroad proof one, Maybe someone on here knows of a better one but the idea looks good in the videos.
