Haha sounds good. I like the rugged but I didn't see anywhere that it included the annex or if it had the sunroof. Or if said sunroof was also in the rain fly

Trying to get options if the CVT doesn't pan out in time. The loner offer is very interesting

It includes the annex but I don't know about the sunroof option. That's what I was doing as well. Figuring out options.

Its closer to $1900 with the annex and it is a little smaller. I did look at them but would rather put a little more money for the CVT or Tepui. Not much smaller, few inches, but size matters

Oh I agree on the quality, they all have pros and cons but as a whole they all have good quality. A lot of it comes to size. I don't want a massive penthouse but I sure do want some space between me and the other person. Done the 2 man tent shoulder to shoulder. Thats fine when you have to haul that bigger tent around. Trucks doing the hauling now, might as well get picky on the sleeping size.

It will be 50/50 for me. 6'+ 200lb+ for me and most my buddies. Space would be nice. If I was solo most the time I would absolutely not have an issue with a smaller tent.

I have a similar setup. Access cab with a camper, yakima racks and RTT on top of the camper. I just put my boards inside the camper shell.

We've got the Autana Ruggedized in stock and ready to ship immediately, and yes the Autana and Gran Sabana models all include the annex. Orange and Olive Green is available right now and the grey will be available again at the end of May. Tepui chose not to add the "SKY" windows to the Ruggedized models for a few reasons. I had one of the SKY model Tepui tents for a while and was stoked about the feature but in the entire time I had the tent I only used the SKY windows twice. It just wasn't a feature that I personally used much. With the Ruggedized tents I have now I don't miss the SKY feature at all. I realize other people may actually use them more but I didn't.

Edit: I've had a lot of people contacting me lately about not getting their tents from the Group Buy soon enough and looking at getting a Tepui instead. As a result, tents are selling fast and we're now sold out of the Ayer and Kukenam Models. We still have the Autana Ruggedized that's one of the most popular and has the features most are looking for. But I anticipate that these will start going fast. So if you're considering it and have a trip coming soon, like Overland Expo or FJSummit or Rock Therapy etc. let me know soon so we can be sure to get you one in time, before these sell out too.

We'll have a full inventory back in stock at the end of May.

In regards to the weight. The weight for the Tepui includes the annex so it will not be as heavy as the Eezi-Awn. The Tepui Autana Ruggedized is ~165-ish without the annex.

    Thanks for the info.
Without the sky windows viewable through the rainfly I agree with what you experienced on rarely using them. Its an awesome feature but weather tends to have its own plan.
I just stumbled across the James Baroud Nomad 160. The weight is extremely low at 95lbs and the dual overhangs with walls caught my attention fast. Trying to get some more info on that before I make any moves.

yeah I checked those out last summer at the Outdoor Retailer Show. A guy had one there. It's a cool tent but very light duty. That's not necessarily a bad thing if that's what you're after. Just to add a little more complexity to your decision, if you're after something very lightweight and have the time to wait a couple of weeks, Tepui will be revealing/announcing a new product at the Overland Expo in a couple weeks. ;) You might like it even more.

Update: The Olive Green Autana Ruggedized are now sold out also. We still have the Expedition Orange but they'll likely go quickly. I gotta admit (even though I have the green) the orange looks pretty sharp.

I have some time. June 10 something needs to be mounted on my truck.

Light on the pounds is good. Everywhere else not so much. They have an issuing layer that can be added. Zero information about this thing. Other than Expedition Portal doing a review on their original soft RTT

Sounds good. FYI, the next batch of Tepui tents should be arriving the last week of May and plan on a week for delivery so if you decide to go that route it could be tight getting one to you by the 10th of June. Happy to help if you need it. Good luck.
