    I'm bored.
I'll be making a run up Buckhorn Canyon to look at Ballard and Greer roads this morning in a couple hours...if anybody local has any interest in tagging along. I doubt they are passable but the drive to them is scenic enough and will kill a few hours.
Prolly around 10:00 am. I'm going alone or with somebody either way.

I meant to quote @mr optimist about his stalling problem.

I have a couple more wires to solder in and see if the AEM works as advertised.

So rock auto emailed me, guess they were afraid to call me lol. They are sending a replacement at no cost and told me I don't have to worry about sending mine back. At least their customer service is great.

My stalling problem is still there!

    Today I:

    Checked all the plugs
    Swapped around all the coils
Swapped in old coils -made it worse-
checked all the grounds to sensors
disconnected second battery and charging system
    Cleaned MAF both wires
    cleaned throttle body
Checked ECU behind glove box, everything plugged in
    still no cel

It goes through periods of running really well and periods of running like shit. Nothing changes, I can stand there and watch it work and not work. lol

I am not running a piggyback ecu, so if I bypassed my cam sensor pretty sure it wouldn't run at all.

Picked up some PVC for my truck shower project. Too bad the snow is in the way. Was using BCN for topo maps offline, but gonna give MyTrails a try since BCN wouldnt finish downloading maps anymore.

So I'm not the only one having trouble downloading maps? I tried downloading the area I was going to be in Utah a handful of times but it kept failing. I figured it was my crappie cell service. I did still use the TrailDamage.com gps file so I could tell if I was still on the right track though.

Yeah, I was pretty sure I downloaded the Moab area before down to 15 zoom, but it wasn't there. Downloaded it again, it finished successfully but doesnt show up on the main map where I DL'ed it to. Not sure whats up with it. My Trails is easier for downloading large areas but takes some getting used to and doesnt give you an estimated size for the DL.

For anyone with the same issue.. if it keeps getting cold inside, make sure the doors are closed. :goingcrazy:

I found 30 cents today, on the ground, when I was airing up.
A good day of wheeling pays off.

    It runs!

My dash is a disaster and I need to tidy up and put everything back together but it started on the first try and no codes! And... I only have 2 extra wires I don't know if I still need to wire in.

I need to get my bearings for my knuckles pressed out and new ones pressed in. I'm stuck in Loveland right now, is there anyone that knows of anywhere I can get them done tonight or tomorrow?

@thefatkid I think I got her fixed. Throttle position sensor. I spent the day going through about every system and nothing. I unplugged the TPS and it ran fine, no stall or stumbling, it threw a CEL though. I have an extra throttle body from my supercharger install and took the TPS off that one. I took the TPS off my 4runner and the part didn't look OEM Toyota, only 4 numbers and no brand. Put the new used TPS in and voila. ran perfect. I had to adjust it a bit so that it would start, but the first test drive went well. I will drive it cold tomorrow to confirm if that was the fix one way or the other.

I'm in Golden and have a simple harbor freight press if you end up down this direction. May be going out for a little snow bashing in the morning.

I was doing a quick search and didn't find any great writeups on how the bearings are pressed on. Are you needing the bearings off the hub? If so, it looks like most people cut them and break them off, and i dont have any way of cutting them to get them off. My little 12ton (i think) press would put new ones back on but getting them off will probably require something else if its the bearing on the hub assembly. Unless someone has a trick.

I just dont want you driving all the way down and it not working. But if you have a good how to, maybe its not too bad. The issue is usually the old bearing race comes apart and gets stuck and that must be cut off with a die grinder and/or heated up to get it off. Like so.

But this is assuming thats what you need pressed on/off.
