Did a transmission filter service on the wife's 2011 Corolla and the Wix filter came with a rubber gasket. When installing I torqued it to the factory spec 43 inch pounds and half way to the spec the gasket squeezed out a little bit. Well now its leaking. Any recommendations? The factory gasket is cork which I'm not a fan of. Is it safe to just do a ultra grey silicone gasket?

Incase anyone cares to know, I swapped the gasket for an OE cork one and it sealed right up.
