Bad idle

    Hello,1997 Tacoma 4cyl.2.4 .obd2 reader,actron. Gives message, link error, turn key off wait 10 sec etc...tester works on other vehicles.... I don't know if I need a new computer.? Also slow idle with unburned, fuel exhaust.

    Disclaimer - I have no experience with this issue . . .

    . . . but I can still suggest stuff.

    Did you have the key in the ignition position ?

    My truck has an OBD fuse under the hood. Does yours? If so, check it.

    Thanks,mine doesn't have a fuse called obd...im trying to find out still why no codes show and I get, no link message..
