    happy saturday all

:annoyed: you go to a store and spend a half an hour wandering around and not a single soul asks if you need help..... but when you aren't looking to buy anything, you have at least 3 people ask if you need help

Yea I hate when that happens! The other thing that I can't understand is when they ask you if you want a bag or not for multiple items, I would like to reply with--- Does howdy duty have wooden Balls!!!!! :D

Amen to that! Not the same thing but I was grocery shopping today and this lady just struck up a conversation with me at the deli. Chatted about the weather, grandkids etc, very nice women. It's rare today that happens, growing up the county was "smaller" and everybody knew each other. Now a days whenever I offer to help a stranger or try to strike up a conversation I get looks like I just stepped off of a spaceship.

@ work. So what else is new?

Yesterday was fun. Had all the makings of a fun day....275 drive in the pouring rain. Doing work on a friends truck, out doors....in the rain......with no tools.....and a lot of jagged metal. Why NOT fun?

The wife and I drove north about 30 miles to a friends place to help with (read; DO) a job cleaning up the edges of fenders cut bigger on a Jeep XJ. I found him a metal reinforced rubber trim for all the edges. We cut and installed them. Made a rather rough looking vehicle into a job well done in about 1/2 hour. We spent a few minutes afterwards, admiring our work, planning the first off road adventure involving the two of us in about 30 years. There'll be one more addition to the cast of characters, but the show is about to happen! Back in the day we invented "Epic off road trips". Multiple spontaneous over-nighters.....Kegs hid from us.....Probably won't involve (much) of that last part this go-round.

Then on the highway south and east by 100 or so miles....in the pouring rain. went to see daughter and boyfriends "new house" (160 year old "new house") They have their work cut out for them.

    Then home.

    Now work.

    It goes on....

Good Morning TW, happy Sunday. Rain here today, yes but it's not snow, so we got that going for us. Enjoy your day.

Good Morning from not so sunny Southern Maryland. Weatherguessers say rain most of the day. Funny it occurred to me last night that the local weatherman was apologizing for the crappy weather this weekend, like he had any control over it!

No fishing this week. 6 day work week. I'm beat. Just got up. Kinda gloomy today. I just need to decompress.
    Just going to putt around.

Went to visit a friend that my wife has known all her life, our age, is in the later stages of early onset alzhiemers. She has 3 kids in high school and her stupid husband barely taking care of her. Husband won't let the parents or family help. We have to sneak around to visit her. So sad.

    Sorry for a bummer story.

    This is so sad.
Maybe it could be a feeling of invasion of their privacy. Coming into their house. Finding things out about their private lives. I know people that don't like anyone ,even family, in their house.
