I bought a fifth wheel Prism camper it weights 3299lb. I was assured I could tow it with my 02 4cly Tacoma. What's your thoughts. I went to camper world to get the 5th wheel kit and they were stumped as they don't have one and is calling Reese tomorrow to see if they make one. But they are excited to see it if I get it done.

I wouldn't feel comfortable towing that with the 4 cylinder if it had a v6 maybe...

I would probably check this thread out. I personally think your truck is not right for towing a medium sized boat let alone a 5th wheel. Youre putting other people's lives at risk while towing something that big in a truck that is underpowered, can't stop fast enough ( no brake controller), and has such a low tow rating. Your dry weight is already near the towing capacity before you put anything in the 5th wheel. Check out this thread before putting any money into your 1st gen.

Your giving me some hope! I bought a 21' Thor Prizm and have had mixed messages whether I can haul it or not. My mechanic tells me my truck would have no problem. I was planning on having a break controller installed. I could put the 5th wheel in my sisters F150 if I had too. If it's not safe I wouldn't do it.
