I am new to lift kits. I am looking for a 3 plus 1 leveling kit so I can add new tires. I have heard I can fit 285/70R16 with a kit, but can I fit 285/75R16's? This seems to be more common of a size. Also, what lift kit would be recommended? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would guess yes. You lack info people would need to give you a more educated answer. Your suspension, wheels with offset would be a good start. The actual tires you are considering couldn't hurt either.

    Hope this helps

Everything is currently stock. I am looking at Toyo Open Country A/T II. I need to know what leveling kit, if any, would work with those. Also, if I need offsets or not. I have stock 6 lug 16" wheels right now. I want to mount the 285/70/16 on the stock wheel.

I am using the Rough Country 3 in lift. Says it's 3" in the front and 2" in the rear. It's part number 745N2. I just ordered it tonight. What size spacer, if any, would I need with this?

What size spacers do you recommend? The tires rub at full turn on the control arm.

I think spidertraxx are the fan favorite here. I don't have them but that's what I usually see people use. I believe they are 1.25" or 1.5"

you can not fit bigger than 265/75R16's regardless of lift amount... the wheel well just physically is not big enough for anything bigger.

if you go 285/75R16 plan on cab mount chop, inner fender removal or cutting, pinch weld flattening, and possible fender flare cutting.

No. You will rub in the front, not by much but you'll rub. How do I know you ask? I was running the exact same setup.

There's a few threads on here that detail what you have to trim. 285s can be done it's far from impossible. How much offloading you do also depends on how much you have to trim. If you don't need every inch of suspension articulation you may not have to trim as much.

That's a 34" tire. Cab mont chop, fender flare and fender trimming. That's a start. You'll need 1.25 wheel spacers up front just to clear the UCA's.

i have 265/75/16's on my pro and there is still a ton of room up front.. 285's would only be a 1 inch differance, since 1 in. on a side would be 2 inch bigger going from 265's to 285's.......i think its the rim offset the makes the differance.......

Not true. I have Toyo Open Country A/T II in a 285/75/16 on it now. It barely rubs control arms at full turn. I believe wheel spacers will fix the problem. This was with a 3" lift in the front and a 2" lift in the rear.
