I have a 95 v6 5 speed 4x4 that starts most of the time when cold, sometime when hot,a lot of the time if if I keep pushing on the clutch pedal in repeatedly it will start, I laid up underneath the dash and pushed in the clutch switch and tried starting it and it still wouldn't start,i don't want to start throwing parts at it,i was originally thinking ignition switch or starter but with repeatedly stepping on the clutch pedal and it sometimes starting I don't know what to think, has anybody expirenced these issues thanks in advance

there's really only 3 parts involved in this situation. the clutch start, the starter relay, and the starter. so long as the wiring is fine, that's all you have to worry about.

try this first. remove the connector from the clutch safety switch, jump the terminals on the pigtail, and try to start the truck. if you still have issues after this, it's not the clutch safety switch.

try and swap the starter relay. not expensive.

if you want, you can make your own remote starter kit to test the starter. it's literally just a long pair of wires that go from the solenoid of the starter to wherever you want to be. you connect 1 of the 2 wires to the S terminal of the solenoid on the starter, and the other wire to any direct positive. when you touch the 2 wires on your end, it will engage the starter.

it kinda sounds like the starter solenoid, which is a part of the starter. hell, it may just be a loose or rusted wire on the starter!
